University graduates routinely show great emotion (spontaneous and sometimes scripted) as they stand in front of crowds to mark momentous occasions. Onlookers clap and cheer, hoot and holler, and then wait to see what the next student (or student body) will do.
But one UC San Diego student's Mexican flag-waving exuberance has sparked a conversation that's transcended her brief moment Sunday.
Indira Esparza, a 22-year-old undocumented student who moved to the U.S. when she was 2, proudly unfurled the green, white and red flag of Mexico as she walked across the stage.

It's a slap in the face alright, but I'm not her host, I'm her victim.
A thief and an ingrate.
When is some politician going to start worrying about the rights of citizens the way they worry about the rights of non-citizens?
no miracles from God will be forthcoming ... now about that opposite ...
Reminds me of the thieves and ingrates that confronted Congressman Steve King last year:

I’m numb to things at this point. How can a country survive such nonsense. If my brother had waved the Italian flag at his college graduation my father would have broken his neck and that would be that.
Alot of men my father’s age went to fight the country that they or their parents came from only 20 to 40 years earlier.
It wasn’t even a question.
Disgusting.
Awful
Should have told him you were in the country illegally....
I feel numb, too. It’s like being in an abusive personal situation...one will go that way to survive and cope psychologically. The destruction, chaos, and anarchy has sped up to a rate that makes one’s head spin. I almost don’t want to say anymore because it won’t be elegant and lady-like so I will shut up now.
i stopped watching news because of that. Was getting too mad. And screaming too much.
The crazy thing is Mexico has BRUTAL border security and you’d better not be caught in the country.
I hope we make it until 2016 and even then, we would need a lot of people to start changing their thinking.
Same here. Gave up the chatterers on TV in 2006, then when the beast got in, in 2008, I weaned myself off talk radio. WEIRD and STUPID times, my friend. Who knew that Idiocracy was a predictive documentary?
Damn wetback.
[How can a country survive such nonsense?]
It can’t. The are tons of forces trying to break up, demoralize, sully, bankrupt, cripple, disarm, divide, pervert and trash the nation.
When the smoke clears, the useful idiots will demand to know what happened.
Hopefully, the useful idiots will be the first sent to the gulags.

sumtimz it occurs to me that the seedlings that burst forth in the 60’s briefly towered but now grow old. They in turn have given US Genus-X&Y.
Remains to be seen how these later crops will turn out but to-date results appear mixed. To insure old growth, it’s a fair bet that a master arborist is needed to shape the younger growth and prune away the suckers and weed out the surrounding trash growth.
And who knows the evolving species yet to be seen...
well, there have been abortion victories in the south and the number of people who are against abortion has held steady through the past 10 years.
And people did vote republicans in at all levels of government across the midwest and south. Can’t blame the voters for republicans not being republicans.
But you can blame them next time if they dont elect real conservatives.
These parasites upon society live in Aztlan and to hell with America.
They have absolutely no intention in integrating into our society what-so-ever.
“Hopefully, the useful idiots will be the first sent to the gulags.”
That honor is reserved for us. The useful idiots are imprisoned after the opposition is killed or “re-educated”.
