I wonder if he is aware of the etymology and the legend and is trying to be ironic, or just plain stupid. Per wiki, "The paladins, sometimes known as the Twelve Peers, were the foremost warriors of Charlemagne's court...They first appear in the early chansons de geste such as The Song of Roland, where they represent Christian valor against the Saracen hordes inside Europe."
A "Paladin of Jihad," is kind of like a "Jannisary of the Crusades," or a, "Ronald McDonald of Wendy's".

I can understand a guy joining Islam -- you get to have slave women as your wives (4), and unlimited concubines, you get to have sex slaves and teens as your "wives", you get to kill and steal with Allah's sanction and when you die you get a heaven with 72 virgins that you can deflower over and over again and drink a lot of wine and not get a hangover.
What's in it for women?
