They don't fire Williams but demote him in such a way that he'll either quit (unlikely) and save the network big money or be on a TV cable network no one watches, making Williams effectively disappear.
He is humiliated and NBC gets him off the radar. If Williams quits he loses millions. If he stays at MSNBC, he has to eat humble pie every day. Fitting punishment for an egotistical liar.
MSNBC, where truth truly doesn’t matter.
Legends in their own minds...
Brilliant move. This is a glove-like fit. MSNBC is staffed by liars. He should feel right at home.
Let him join the other C- students. Brian should feel right at home.
Perfect!
Maybe he will get a major interview with Hillary.
Keith Olbermann asks for the 20 thousandth time, Miss Me Yet?
I can’t wait to see him as intern apprentice shill, bringing a fresh cup of coffee to Rev. Maybe they will sandbag Williams and come back live from commercial too early and get him in his new assignment on camera...
That is an insult to the Toledo Mud Hens...
“In a move that will bolster the credibility level of both networks,...”

LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (only in the world of the mentally defective...)
He should just become Hillarys media guy. Then he can lie all he wants.
His replacement, Lester Holt, is a great and credible guy.
This is perfect! This guy has become a laughingstock in pop culture on and off the internet. He will only serve to further erode any credibility MSNBC has left ...which isn’t much.
Actually, that statement is an insult to both networks and to Brian Williams as well.
Here is the opening of the show:
Hello I am Brian Williams and I am Al Sharpton
Together this is “Make up the News”
Lateral move. Snooze fest.
SO he goes from a few million viewers to a few hundred.
Bet we won’t even see him on MSNBC, for all intents and purposes, he’s been canned.
