Unregulated foreign trade, illegal immigration, government-sponsored unions. These are killing jobs here, But when you suggest putting an end to them, liberals scream “Fascism!”. Yet they’ll continue blaming Republicans for unemployment.

"But, generally speaking, the Protective system in these days is conservative, while the Free Trade system works destructively. It breaks up old nationalities and carries antagonism of proletariat and bourgeoisie to the uttermost point. In a word, the Free Trade system hastens the Social Revolution. In this revolutionary sense alone, gentlemen, I am in favor of Free Trade." - Karl Marx

Why do people call it ‘Obamatrade’ when the Republican leadership is pushing so hard for it? More Republicans are for it than Democrats!

It’s idiotic to call it that, all it does is INCREASE the chances of marginal libs pr progressives supporting it when they are opposed to it right now.

ONLY the center of BOTH parties is for it, as many far lefties hate it as people on the right, but if people keep calling it ‘Obamatrade’ then it makes it MORE likely for them to reason that if the Republicans are against it then they should be for it.

Whatever person started calling it “Obamatrade” should be ashamed of themselves, and has made it MORE likely to pass. might as well call it “Bohnertrade”.

Hey, no worry. There are “adjustments” for displaced American workers, and besides Cruz voted for it—so it is all good.

there must be a ton of money out there lining the pockets of Boehner, McConnell and their friends to support this.

Hard to believe I stand with Pelosi on voting no.

I agree with the Representative that said that regulations and high corporate taxes are what sent jobs overseas.

Federal, state and local regulations are an obstacle against starting a new, small manufacturing shop in a rural private property in American soil. Now, what special interest would want to prevent potential competition by regulating against new, small competition on American soil? Importers, perhaps? And maybe government employed and government pensioned NIMBYs obsessed with fees, property taxes and property values that won’t be going back up?

That’s no way to improve an economy.

I fail to see how a new trade agreement with Asia helps American citizens.

This is about more profits for multinationals.

NAFTA has done enough damage, now these greedy corporate scumbags want to double down.
