Jeez! It’s about special needs. It’s no big deal

Other than the “special needs” issue, Sarah, what else did you find compelling about little jebbie?

"compelling"? What exactly did she find "compelling" about little Jebbie? Do tell!

What was wrong about what she said? What was inconsistent with her prior positions>

Dear Sarah, “Government isn’t the solution, it is the problem.” Hmmmm.

All our unconstitutional Systems-—make health care and food and education etc. unaffordable now....and extremely impossible for parents to stay married and have over two children.

Lets destroy the Marxist unconstitutional Systems which should be “null and void” anyhow——and remove all these Marxist institutions that destroy Free Markets, and encourage Crony “capitalism” and “happy slavery” of the masses.

We want Independence and no interference in our health care, no data collections, and no minimum wage controls-—govt controlling businesses or messing with the Natural Family (Truth/God)-, etc.

The only reason we can’t take care of our Down’’s kids is because of the destruction of the family and free markets with the Progressive (Marxist) income tax, and ALL taxes which is enslaving us for months.

All local control of schools and curricula, and human beings being able to PRACTICE REAL ADULTHOOD, and not infantilized like a down syndrome kid—like all adults are treated now—slaves for the State bureaucracy.

BTW, I have a niece with Downs and we should live in a culture where parents can afford to be parents again and trust their neighbors, and raise and educate their own offspring, and actually be free from tyranny which is why the USA exists in the first place.

Hmm. Instead of getting hysterical by reading The Hill's slanted excerpt, perhaps it would be better to read Palin's actual posting:

Why read and know what you're talking about when one can go off half cocked?

Fair enough. But I don’t think there is a politician alive or dead who has not been called a RINO by someone at FR at some point. Even *I* have been called a RINO here numerous times! lol

Thank You COBOL2Java and SoFloFreeper for posting her actual Post instead of The Hill's Troll Bait Headline.

Gosh!

I know we all remember Terri Schiavo and those responsible will answer for that.

(in this life or the next)

Downs Syndrome is something that is near and dear to Sarah's Heart and even El Jeb can find a speck of kindness for them.

“It was encouraging today to hear Governor Jeb Bush speak directly to an issue that touches so many lives in these challenging times, both culturally and fiscally – raising a child with special needs,” Palin wrote on her Facebook page. “I'm glad Jeb's life was touched by God's purpose-filled children, and hope he continues with a positive message of inclusion, empowerment and specifics as how we can best advocate for families who would never expect government to do it all, but would like to count on government being on their side,” she added.

Keep in mind, that there are special considerations in Sarah Palin’s life that do not necessarily translate out to all those who have otherwise expressed doubts or admiration in the past.

On some things, Jeb Bush is extraordinarily good, others, not so much. Neither to praise nor to blame Jeb, he is what he is, with a whole set of considerations of his own. Should he be so partial to Hispanic immigrants? Given that he is married to a Mexican national, now naturalized (I should hope Columba is by now, anyway), and that Jeb has an especial affection for all things Mexican, I would suppose there is a vast reservoir of good will Jeb should want to keep in the Hispanic minority in the US. Whether that should extend to a partial or full amnesty for all those here illegally, is another question. But Jeb would certainly favor an expanded role for LEGAL immigration.

Others have faulted Jeb for his somewhat cavalier attitude about Theresa Schiavo, but that is much more a reflection of the adamant and intransigent behavior of Michael Schiavo, her spouse at the time of her termination of life in 2005, by disconnection from life support.

More to the point, Jeb and Columba have been active in drug abuse and the plight of children subject to domestic violence. Columba told her husband to make domestic violence a priority at the governor’s mansion. This is just the kind of thing that would appeal to Sarah Palin, and generate a great deal of sympathy for the “third Bush” campaign.

Take care how you may characterize Sarah Palin, a highly complex person in many ways.

Maybe that’s all this is about.
Helping children with special needs.
Any parent can appreciate that.
