I would love to close my checking and savings account with Wells Fargo, but I can’t. I owe a debt to Wells Fargo for a credit card debt. Until that is paid off, I have to stay with them.
Curious if the upshot of this will be not to change any of WF’s commercials but instead get it to come out as a full flaming “gay” bank. So far, they have only dabbled in the market (as have just about all the major carmakers, by the way, including good ole redneck Ford). But get some moneyed liberal cause to go sympathetic and the pushback could be worse than the status quo was.
I don’t think “world push” is going to help anyone either keep from being “gay” or stop it if they have already started. It’s gone so far that now all that is left is the echo.
I wonder what a “honey rather than vinegar” enticement would do. Get and stay clean and we’ll get almost every Christian cent into your accounts.
just one ... and there are many more ...
remembrances of ‘spoken as one’
I chewed out Tony Compolo. Here’s my email and his reply (I responded again to say it didn’t sound like he knew the Bible at all).
You, who get paid to flaunt your “Christian” beliefs, are a scoundrel. Telling people homosexuality is normal is pathetic. You’re selling yourself around the nation as an upstanding Christian authority and you’re nothing but a heretic. Shame on you. You are called to repent by God for telling people that their sinful lifestyles are normal. You do know you’re held to a higher standard in God’s Word, correct?
This is the time where you should boldly speak the truth and yet, you are a false prophet, telling the people around you that what they’re doing is natural. Our God is long suffering but He’s also perfect in His will and you WILL be held to account Mr. Campolo.
Dear XXXXXX,
Thank you for writing expressing your concerns directly to me, which is what Jesus instructed us to do in the 18th Chapter of Matthew. Most of my critics do not do that.
You can be sure that I take such criticism seriously, and that I will prayerfully consider what you have written.
Please continue to pray for me as I seek to discern and follow Gods will.
Sincerely,
Tony Campolo

He knows that the humble answer will cause a lot of people to wonder if their harshness IS only that, harshness, and no principle behind it.
It’s so easy to get so furious at it in a worldly way that we can’t lament what it sabotages. Even in the lives of those living that way now.
It is getting to where there are so many that one would have to boycott just about every business there is.
On a positive note, I saw a J C Penny ad a few days ago and steeled myself for the usual assault on normalcy. To my surprise the advertisement simply showed a normal traditional family with nothing at all which was offensive.
Of course just one commercial does not mean a lot but it was actually refreshing.
I’m sure I was harsh. But, I gotta think we are WAY PAST REASONING with a pastor/teacher if he thinks its okay to back homo marriage. He’s selling the devils wares.
Viking, ‘did the footsie’ include middle easterners?
But funny, I wonder if the devil would have said much different to God. Nyaa nyaa I got him.
You know that’s a form letter, handled by his office. He never sees anything but a count.
The thing that would say the most is not lifetime straight arrows puffing at him, but ex-”gay.” They could tell him that he’s playing to the source of their heartaches in a way that he’d actually listen.
Send me ‘clandestine’ if cannot speak ‘frankly’, please
Have you tried to get a credit card from another bank and transfer the amount?
interested in ‘going to the mountain’ America?
So, then Franklin Graham’s organization is moving it money. However, it seems the bank that they have chosen is a sponsor of a gay parade.
The problem is that so many corporations are doing this stuff that it makes in near impossible to do business with firms that are not doing it.
Still a great interest rate for refinancing.
It is good for him to have answered, but there is very little about ‘seeking God’s will’ that I believe.
God is not going to tell him that this destructive lifestyle is OK. It should be obvious that this is an inherently unnatural, unclean, and dangerous act.
