If there were more fathers in the African American community they might tell their children to obey the five basic rules of interacting with law enforcement:

- Don't lie to the police.

- Don't run from the police.

- Don't (EVER) fight with the police.

- Don't consent to any searches (ESPECIALLY IF YOU HAVE NOTHING TO HIDE).

- Other than to identify yourself don't talk to the police.

- Don't break the law, even the little ones. Obey traffic laws, pay your traffic tickets. Pay for your auto insurance, don't drive if your license is suspended. Sure, they're annoying, but far less annoying than the attention you'll receive from the cops if you don't.

And for the love of all that's decent, if you're gonna do drugs, do them at home. Driving around with drugs in your car is stupid.
