Pope Francis to Explore Climate’s Effect on World’s Poor
The New York Times ^ | 13 June 15 | JIM YARDLEYJUNE

Ban Ki-moon arrived at the Vatican with his own college of cardinals. Mr. Ban, the United Nations secretary general, had brought the leaders of all his major agencies to see Pope Francis, a show of organizational muscle and respect for a meeting between two global institutions that had sometimes shared a bumpy past but now had a mutual interest.

The agenda was poverty, and Francis inveighed against the “economy of exclusion” as he addressed Mr. Ban’s delegation at the Apostolic Palace. But in an informal meeting with Mr. Ban and his advisers, Francis shifted the discussion to the environment and how environmental degradation weighed heaviest on the poor.

“This is the pope of the poor,” said Robert Orr, who attended the May 2014 meeting as Mr. Ban’s special adviser on climate change and described the informal conversation with Francis. “The fact that he is making the link to the planet is really significant.”

On Thursday, Francis will release his first major teaching letter, known as an encyclical, on the theme of the environment and the poor. Given the pope’s widespread popularity, and his penchant for speaking out on major global issues, the encyclical is being treated as a milestone that could place the Roman Catholic Church at the forefront of a new coalition of religion and science.

Does The Church exist to keep people poor, like the Rats?

Even assuming global warming is doing what they claim, trying to help the poor by addressing global warming is unbelievably inefficient.

Third world countries have actual structural poverty.

In western nations poverty is largely the consequence of making poor life choices, which is something the Church actually could help people with.

OK!! Everybody pay attention!

Lesson for today:

1. The sun is 1,300,000 times as big as the earth.

2. The sun is a ball of fire that controls the climates of all its planets.

3. The earth is one of the sun’s planets.

4. The earth is a speck in comparison to the size of the sun.

5. Inhabitants of the earth are less than specks.

Study Question: How do less-than-specks in congress plan to control the sun?

The new narrative: poor people are poor because of climate change.

Part of me thinks you can’t make this stuff up, but clearly someone did.

What a waste of time and effort.

This Pope needs to take a nice long sabbatical.

Sorry, but that’s just not a good argument, in itself, against anthropocentric global warming.

Small changes in systems can produce big effects.

GW Bush won the election in 2000 by something less than 1000 votes.

A few pounds of botulin toxin, evenly distributed, would kill every person on the planet.

I’m agnostic on AGW. It’s not been proven or disproven.

Pope,

Here you go.
Warmer weather means crops can grow in places that never could before. It means more crops and different crops can be grown in places that used to be too cold.

It means the world can finally feed the starving and the poor.

It means there will be more water evaporation, thus rain in places now too dry to grow food. Places already too hot and dry to grow food will still be too hot and too dry to grow food. But there may be some rain to those places.

A review of history will show that overall man prospered with an abundance of food and health when it was warmer. And starved and was more sickly when it was cooler.

Now all the sudden the earth’s temperature is exactly right... Any warmer or any cooler and terrible things will happen... Science is now politics...

When it’s really hot the poor suffer.
When it’s really cold the poor suffer.

There you go.

And the real answer is, poor people are kept poor because of efforts to fight climate change.

This pope is a communist. He supports the globalists agenda.
Yet people still doubt this even after he shoves things like
this in their face. The church has been infiltrated with
the minions of evil just like our government.

Almost. Poor people are poor because of the Marxists who use climate change as an excuse to implement their policies.

In America, most poor people are poor due to poor life choices. One of those poor life choices is being dupes for liberals.

I am not Catholic, but still wonder exactly WHY the last (conservative) Pope really resigned. I’ll bet there is a lot more to that than the official explanation.

The biggest thing affecting the poor is corruption. Maybe the Pope would like to address that. Surely, he could influence his Catholic politicians.

1. The Vikings sailed to North America and discovered a large island that was warm and green with lush vegetation. They named it Greenland which is now mostly covered in ice.

Did human-built SUVs warm Greenland BEFORE the Vikings arrived?

2. Here in SW Ohio, we were once covered by a 2-mile thick glacier. Then the earth became so warm it melted this back to the Arctic regions.

Did human-built SUVs warm the earth so much to melt glaciers?

Solar activity effectively controls almost 99% of ALL weather patterns on earth.

CO2 does NOT affect weather temps one iota.

Humans exhale CO2.

Plants, trees, crops, etc inhale CO2.

Volcanic activity impacts weather patterns MUCH more than ALL combined human activity since the beginning of time.

Global Warming is a lie and outright scam - follow the money.

The “scientific” studies have been debunked and proved to have had the “books cooked”.

The Great Global Warming Swindle:

For anyone that believes CO2 causes Global Warming, they should do their part and stop exhaling CO2.

Papal resignation linked to inquiry into 'Vatican gay officials', says paper

Was the Pope pushed? An abuse scandal, corruption and the dark intrigue behind Benedict's shock resignation

Pope Benedict's resignation linked to gay conclave: report

"A 300-page dossier compiled by three cardinals investigating the theft of Vatican documents was reportedly given to the Pope the day he decided to resign. The investigation is said to have uncovered a number of factions within the Vatican of gay men who have engaged in sexual activity with male prostitutes and at organized sex romps....Male prostitutes — who had pictures of the priests dressed in drag and others performing gay sex acts — were behind the extortion, The Daily Beast reported."

I find it almost impossible that Benedict was not involved in gay sex, directly, himself. Many of the reports focus on other "gay Vatican priests and officials" but do not implicate Benedict himself. If he was clean, and without sin, all he had to do was punish the guilty and wash the house.

But he didn't do that. He resigned. Quickly.
