The paper bag test is famous in the Atlanta area for the snobby light-skinned types like Eric Holder and Wife to join light-skinned social clubs! You couldn't get into those frats and sororities if you were dark-skinned. The racism endemic in that community is appallingly hypocritical.

Has Rachel become authentic enough to be allowed to say the n-word?

Well, she is being niggardly with the truth, as a habit, apparently.

There was an article written early in Obama’s presidency that insinuated Michelle was too dark. The article was concerned about her reception by well to do blacks at the spot they had chosen for summer vacation.

Has Rachel become authentic enough to be allowed to say the n-word?

Do you remember the old FOX comedy show "In Living Color?" They had a skit with a character who was called White Chocolate. He was white (and didn't try to hide it) but did all he could to fit in with the African-American social circle in his neighborhood.

Upshot of the skit is that they thought he had merited being allowed to "say it."

Overjoyed, he says, "Really? No foolin'? Not tryin' to trick me, now?"

"It's cool. You can say it."

"Oh, man! WHAT UP, ******?!?!?"

Whereupon he gets beaten down. And one of them says, shaking his head, "Too much 'ger. Not enough 'ga!"

So I wonder if that's the sort of deal Rachel has in Spokane: Everything's good so long as she DOESN'T use the n-word!
