Most likely it didn’t happen. Some people are so desperate for attention they’d do anything. The question is, from what angle did the carving take place? That would prove whether it was self-inflicted or not.Yes, how much bleach did he drink? Do people usually survive drinking bleach? It does not pass the smell test.

They tried to force him to drink bleach. Either he drank it or he didn't and it surely would have burnt his pipes and he'd still be in the hospital...at the minimum. He was down....
