I’ve been told that they will do almost anything to get more blacks in the academy. Many other minorities are filling that void.
Your comment is exactly what I am talking about. My daughter is a junior high teacher in Long Beach, Ca. Approximately 75% of her students are ethnic minorities and about half of these are black. I see this situation as a can’t miss chance for a successful life. Study hard, stay out of trouble, and have a great life.
I grew up in the Boston area. Multipile generations of Irish and Italian descendants did exactly this. Today there are many intact, great families with great homes and great lives all over Massachusetts.
