LANSING, MI Private faith-based adoption agencies that receive state funding but choose to deny service to gay parents on religious grounds have won the blessing of Michigan's Republican-led Legislature.
The state Senate, in an unexpected and unannounced move, took up religious objection adoption legislation on Wednesday, approving the three-bill package in a series of 26-12 votes.

And “submission” in Arabic is “Islam”.
I’m sure the libs on Mlive are going to go into their usual 200 post meltdown about how Michigan is so “bigoted”.
Heaven forbid that a Christian adoption agency doesn’t hand a little boy over to a couple of gay guys.
There's the problem right there. A faith-based adoption agency shouldn't be accepting state funding, period.
So government's should be funding only secular adoption agencies? The government is not going to defund all such agencies. Accepting government funds should never result in the relinquishment of any Constitutional rights.
Excellent!
I’m sure we’ll hear about it as soon as Susan Dumbass’s seizures subside.
No bias here at all, is there? One day, I hope all the kids who got stuck with these made-up family situations the libs impose on innocent children decide to get even and give the folks responsible a suitable form of payback.
In most cases, it is impossible for an agency like that to operate without state entanglement of various kinds.

The government can fund whatever it wants. I’m saying that religious organizations should reject any government funding. If you take Caesar’s money, you play by Caesar’s rules. A government that funds religious institutions eventually secularizes them ... which is why religious organizations have been declining for years even as they get more and more money from the government.
Since the progressive shepherds decreed it to be so.
It is written.

Baptist state Children’s Homes does not accept any gov. funding and they also do not adopt to queer “families”.
Baptist States Children's Homes have been doing it for decades..
Funded entirely by members and member churches and they do not adopt to queer "families".
Yes, but at the same time, very few adoption agencies would not be able to keep going without some financial assistance.
Religious organizations that process adoptions should get their financial assistance from donations. If they can’t raise enough money that way, then they shouldn’t be in the adoption business.
Not when it comes to Constitutional rights. If the government could do that, then in order to receive any government benefits (including police and fire protection) you could be required to waive all of your Constitutional rights.
The whole purpose of having a limited government is to keep Caesar from using money to put this kind of pressure on its citizens.
