I do believe they are wrong about it being “Record” amount of fresh water dumped into the Gulf. The record, I do believe, was from the 1993 Missouri/Mississippi river flood.

Too much water. Too little water. Too hot. Too cold. Too much snow. Not enough snow. Melting ice caps. Increasing ice cover.
Why don't you doom-and-gloomers at least get together and get your lies straight?

I'm still waiting to DIE from Fukashimasushi and the BP oil spill. And the Exxon Valdez. Don't forget that. And Three Mile Island. And acid rain. And the Second Ice Age. And ... a thousand other doomsday environmental scenarios that have never materialized because they were nothing more than the overheated night terrors of a flock of Chicken Littles.

It is a disaster of Biblical proportions isn’t it? Just dreadful. It has also never rained has it?
What will happen next? I’ll bet spring will be followed by a HOT summer as well. What will we do?

Now wait a doggone minute, there! When did they change the shapes of Colorado, Utah, and Arizona? That’s not the way they used to look.

You are probably right. Ask this genius what makes the panhandle beaches so crystalline white.

Wow, that is bad news for me...I'm putting my little house here in Florida on the market tomorrow. This is worse than the sky falling!
It is time that we hold these “experts” to prove their theories. If it is BS, throw them in jail.
They have the right to speak out but not about a questionable idea that fresh water in the Gulf will be a tragic event. My GOD, think of all the rivers that flow into the Gulf carrying rain and flood water, draining MOST OF THE US East of the Rockies, into the Gulf. These birds want gummint money throwed at dem sos dey can keep up da ly’in! (Florida speak).

Oh bull. The flooding now is not even close to the floods of 1973, for most of March, April, and May we had torrential rains, the Mississippi river almost changed its course. Added to the rain we had a very cold winter and a lot of snow melted. It is considered the third worst flood in US history. The Gulf of Mexico survived the flood of 73. I think we will be ok. There are always dead zones in the Gulf. I will never forget 73, me and my friends played football in about 2 1/2 feet of water, talk about fun. When the rains stopped it stunk like hell, a lot of animals drowned and when it got hot peeeeeu.

Yes, but it’s a different river than the Colorado that runs thru the Grand Canyon.

Yes, it is only a matter of time until the Mississippi river changes course. The most likely course is through Morgan City. New Orleans will be the big loser.
