If Joe citizen so much as smuggled in a finger nail file to someone in jail, they’d be arrested on the spot.
Since no arrest here, it seems to suggest this state government corrections employee no doubt she has some government union behind her.
I’ve worked in a number of prisons and I’ve seen this time and time again. One female guard I worked with had sex in her car out in the woods with a DUI offender. And she bragged about it to staff! Then she hooked up with one of the most violent assaultive offenders in our system. She said something he didn’t like and he beat the crap out of here. What the hell did she expect? And, of course, he got her pregnant. So now she has no job and he’s moved on and she’s now got four kids by four different fathers. I’m still trying to figure out how she got hired.
98% of everybody here would agree with you. Same sex prisons would probably reduce prison rape, because there wouldn’t be any pheromones to influence male sexuality.
No arrest reeks of “Government union” protection.
One would think/hope there are a few CCTV cameras in prison, for dealing with/preventing things like this.
Proof that some people do not get wiser with age.
Re Arrest: Perhaps they hope she may try and contact the escapee.
There was a 400 plus pound black girl working in one of the high security prisons in this state. She fell in love and had sexual relationships with a few inmates. The inmates use to tell her how beautiful she was. They would do and say anything to get her to bring contraband. Eventually she got caught when one of her lovers set her up.

For extra credit do you the Pittsburgh landmark that was the home of a murderer who successfully used insanity as a defense? I believe it was the first successful use of that plea in the US.
It’s on the Northside right beside the Rooney mansion. I did a lot of restoration/architectural work there in the late 80’s.

I hadn't heard her job description before. Sounded like she was a guard in all the news reports I heard.
I was wondering how her husband would react, somebody told me he works there also.
Both male and female officers, and civilians have fallen for the con jobs inmate's play. There's just as many males working in female facilities who have gotten themselves in trouble. I'm a woman, and worked in uniform for 25 years in New York State Prisons. I started as an officer, and made Sergeant in 1989. Retired in 2003. I only worked in male facilities.
As a Sergeant, I became suspicious of a possible relationship between a new female officer, and an inmate. In fact, it was another inmate who snitched to me about it. After reporting it to the Watch Commander, I had to question her about it. She denied it up and down, but in the end, she had been guilty, and lost her job. She was a divorcee with two children to support, and lost a job that could have given her and her kids good benefits, and a good salary. I was divorced when I took the job, and raised my two sons with what I was able to earn. My pension and benefits are good, and I've never been able to understand why some of the people I worked with over the years, were willing to put all of that in jeopardy because of some scumbag, or because they got jammed up in illegal activities outside the job.
People, especially women must have a low self-image in order to get involved with any convict. They're liars, scammers, and manipulators. You can't fix stupid, and unfortunately, this kind of stuff happens more than it should.
