Tom Coburn on Jeb Bush: 'His last name will kill 47 percent of the votes'
Washington Examiner ^ | 6/10/15 | Philip Klein

Former Oklahoma Sen. Tom Coburn had a blunt assessment of Jeb Bush's chances of capturing the White House: "I don't think another Bush can get elected."

In an interview with the Washington Examiner Coburn said, "I think there's Bush fatigue and I think you automatically lose a large percentage of the electorate."

He explained, "I like Jeb Bush. But the fact is his last name will kill 47 percent of the votes for him — potential votes in this country. That's a big deal to get over."

Terri Scaivo could not be reached for comment. If she could, she’d say his name should strike FEAR into the hearts of any disabled person.

B@stard. I will NEVER vote for this putz. Ever.

I read it as a jab at Romney ... but also pretty darn accurate. Jeb Bush would have a really hard time getting elected in a general election.

I don’t know why Jeb doesn’t understand the reality of the situation. Is it ego? Is it access to large sums of money ... thinking he can out spend all of his R opponents?

I do not get Jeb’s thinking. I mean for goodness sakes ... even his own mother said we didn’t need another Bush in the White House. There ain’t no taking that comment back ... cuz it’s the flipping truth.

He’s also being not-so-subtly encouraged to run by Big Gay Media - a division of Democrats, Inc. - who would all LOVE to see the Republicans elect a loser, especially when the HilDisaster is so vulnerable.

Will the Republicans be dumb enough to fall for it??

‘His last name will kill 47 percent of the votes’

I hope it does, not that I have anything against the Bush’s but I am not in favor of establishing a dynasty.

The same 47% who pay no federal income tax, no doubt. The ones who would never vote Republican anyway!
