BEECH GROVE, Ind. (WISH) — A fight between two shoppers in the beauty aisle at a Wal-Mart in Marion County is caught on camera.
The video was first posted to YouTube last week and has since gone viral.
The Beech Grove Police Department said a report was filed at the time of the incident.
Officers were called to the scene last Thursday night for a disturbance. Police told 24-Hour News 8 it will be up to the Marion County Prosecutor’s Office to decide whether charges will be filed against the two seen fighting on camera.
Some customers shopping in the beauty aisle at Wal-Mart in Beech Grove heard nothing, but commotion during their late night trip.
One shopper captured the fight between two women on their cellphone in the beauty aisle.
A woman wearing a gray shirt is seen pulling up on a motorized scooter. She confronted another woman in a black shirt then seconds later into the video someone throws out the first punch.
The fight continues on with dozens of shoppers watching nearby.
Police said a six-year-old boy is seen on camera throughout the three minute long video.
At one point, he’s instructed by one of the two women to punch the other in the face.
Some shoppers like Nathan didn’t see the fight first hand, but says he’s not surprised. He’s just wondering why no one stepped in to break up the fight.
“I think the guy who had the camera phone probably should have put his phone down and try to stop it from happening,” said Nathan, shopper.
A Wal-Mart spokesperson told 24-Hour News 8 that management saw what happened and immediately called police for help.
The spokesperson said the company has a policy of not engaging.
“I really don’t know the circumstances behind why they got into a fight, what happened, but I’d like to think if I saw a fight that was spanning for that long in a place like this, I would have had at least done something or said something. That’s just ridiculous,” said Nathan.
Police said they are looking into the incident and are reviewing security and cellphone footage.

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – A video of a fight between two shoppers at a Beech Grove Wal-Mart has gone viral. Now, one of the women involved in the brawl is speaking out about what happened moments before cameras began rolling.
The woman, who identified herself as Amber, spoke with local radio station WZPL during Tuesday’s Smiley Morning Show.
She told the station that race was the main factor as to why she confronted the other woman. Moments before the fight the woman said she heard the other woman in the motorized scooter shouting racial comments to an African-American worker.
Amber told WZPL that she confronted the woman about her use of the derogatory language. The woman on the scooter sprung out of her set and began shoving the other woman.
She told WZPL that she was personally offended by the other women’s language.
“I have a lot of African-American friends and I have my niece who is half African-American, so I don’t stand for that,” Amber shared.
Capt. Bob Mercuri with the Beech Grove police said Tuesday the police are investigating the matter. They plan to talk with the Marion County Prosecutor’s Office to see if any charges might be filed.
The woman also talked about her 6-year-old son who can be seen throwing punches in the video. Amber says she isn’t worried about him getting hurt in fights because he has been studying martial arts for two years.
Wal-Mart said both women are now banned from the store.

People should learn to mind their own business. This includes busy body’s like Amber.
Sounds like she's pretty spry after all. Usually the people on the scooters take up a whole aisle, if you know what I mean.
LOL. The one comes cruising up in a handicapped scooter and jumps out and starts pounding the other one.
People are all outraged that nobody jumped in between these to sows. Walmart employees are forbidden from interfering and no sane person would jump into a catfight between two warring womyn.
The one in the shopping scooter sure doesn’t look disabled while she’s fighting.
I especially like when Mother and Daughter both ride one side by side down the aisles.

Congrats, Beech Grove. Way to represent southeast side of Indianapolis. Fist fights in Walmart are better than what’s happening on the northeast and west sides, but since that’s just the usual suspects, you get all the attention from the media instead.
I used to work at Walmart. This is why I had no respect for most people on scooters. Most of them are just fat lazy pieces of human feces. You ought to have a real handicap before they let you ride one as too many old people and truly disabled people have to wait for scooters too often. Also the lard butts run the batteries down faster and break the scooters. There are weight limits on them scooters.
It’s really easy to break up a fight like that.Just grab a fire extinguisher and discharge it in their faces.
At the very least that kid should be removed from that Parent. She set a horrible example for that kid and put him at grave danger. It only amplifies when she instructs him to hit the other biotch.
Both adults involved should be forced to undergo sterilization.
I see the one chick’s little moppet has already learned to pick up a hard object and hit someone when they’re down.
It’ll serve him well down the road for his inevitable stay(s) in juvenile detention.
