It’s an excellent read by someone who’s apparently seen the light. I don’t see Kirsten self-identifying as “liberal” for much longer. Reality is hard to ignore.

Reality is hard to ignore.

Reality is easy to ignore. The consequences of doing so are impossible to ignore.

I know Powers is reevaluating her political positions. But I have trouble getting past her comment on Obamacare and the targeting of those who are overweight, smoke, etc, for higher premiums. (paraphrase) ‘Why should I have to pay extra for someone who has brought health problems onto themselves?’ Not exact, but similar to her phrasing on BOR’s show after Obamacare was foisted on us, and in support of the targeting of those ‘imperfect’ people.

Some illiberal leftists believe you have a right to your own opinion as long as you keep your mouth shut about it. Other illiberal leftists won't even go that far as the seek to ferret out thought crimes.

She is looking more and more uncomfortable on Fox any more. I only watch Fox occasionally now. It used to be a monitored channel here in the bunker, but they are so light on news and so heavy on analysis now that it isn’t worth the aggravation.

Bob Beckel leaving, actually, didn’t help. He was another one who was seeing the light.

Seems like every firebrand, lifelong liberal they bring on finds Christ and then starts to question everything, which is very good.

What liberal USED to be was a belief in the power of government to effect good in the world. Sometimes, you just need something big and powerful to kick good over the wall and on to the next obstacle. I know quite a few current D’s like that, still clinging to that naïve paradigm.

What liberal means today is the following:

People who advocate on people they don’t care about to control people they oppose, or outright hate.

National socialism, and Germany’s blood and honor laws came from its universities. The tactics being used today by the left are similar, if the ideology is different in form, but not in aim. (control)

Hmmmm, I have my doubts about that...after all, conservatives have been talking about the war on free speech for decades!...little Kirsten is very late to the party, and, I believe, simply landed there because she realizes there is a lot of money to be made by writing on such topics. If she was such a zealot for free speech where has she been for the last thirty years? For related causation, see Juan Williams, Greta Van Susteren, Glenn Beck etc. etc.
