Republican presidential candidate-in-waiting Jeb Bush has named Danny Diaz, a veteran of former President George W. Bush's 2004 campaign, to be his campaign manager.

The move puts Diaz in a top job in the Bush operation, not yet officially a campaign. Bush is scheduled to make an announcement June 15.

Diaz, whose parents are from Spain, has been working as a Republican strategist at FP1 Strategies LLC, which he helped found.

He was a lead consultant for New Mexico Gov. Susan Martinez's campaign in 2010 and was part of the National Hispanic Working Group for the Bush-Cheney campaign in 2004. He served as communications director for the Republican National Committee.

Danny Diaz is the Communications Director for the Republican National Committee. Most recently, Diaz served as Deputy Communications Director for John McCain 2008. Prior to joining the John McCain 2008 campaign, Diaz served as Deputy Communications Director for the RNC.

Also worked on the romney campaign.

So he knows how to lose more than he knows how to win. The guy who lost TWICE to obama, the worst american president in history.

Great pick there, Jeb!

Reminds me of Bob Dole in 1996 hiring the same campaign people who lost to clinton before in 1992.

Yes, it demonstrates that the campaign is severely conservative.

Hispanic is all he has. He’s given credit for a jump in Hispanic GOP votes in 2004 even though Hispanic votes dropped again thereafter and he’s got nothing else to show for his efforts. I’m sure Brock and Krauthammer and O’Reilly think he’s a great choice.

He does prove that the GOP-E intends to replace conservative voters with Hispanic ones. Yes, they are that out of touch.

Whats the matter, Jeb?

All your wife’s La Raza brothers too busy with Reconquista to help you out?
You gotta bring in a ‘white hispanic’ instead?

My goodness...
Governor Jeb Bush can't see his name alone would reflexively cause many to pull the lever for the opposing candidate?
The mainstream media will relentlessly pound low-information voters towards voting for the "non-Bush" candidate.
He is not someone I wish to see going toe-to-toe with Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.

The best part of Jeb is that most of him ran down his daddy’s leg.

Jebster is going to need a lot of Mexican votes to make up for the Americans who will not vote for him.

I don’t care what his nationality is. I’m not voting for another Bush who supports big government.

The following clip from the article may play into this decision.

snip
Like Bradshaw, Murphy, 52, now has a family, and it’s unclear whether he is urging Jeb Bush to run or whether he, himself, is ready to endure another national race.
