The award show, which will air June 18, was advertised in press material as “unfiltered, unpredictable” and is hosted by “Empire” stars Taraji P. Henson and Terrence Howard.”
...if it jabs at Palin, Bush, Cruz or some other low life conservative, it’ll be “unfiltered” but VERY predictable. Never heard of “Spike”, never heard of Empire, never heard of Henson or Howard. So, no loss.
“Spike” TV began as The Nashville Network back in the 80’s and rebranded itself in the early 2000’s to be known as the first channel geared towards manly/tough guy programming.
Now they censor the tough guy. Go figure...
This is a for-profit event, and Clint comes down to hired help. They will manage it the way that makes them the least waves and most money, just like everything else the entertainment industry does.
Howard was the actor playing Mike Rhodes (war machine)in the first Iron Man movie, although he didn’t come back for the sequels: Don Cheadle got the role in those. Plus he also played an aspiring young rapper in Hustle and Flow.
