Liberals Make Big Comeback in 2015, Poll Analysis Finds

There are signs that liberals are making a comeback — and not just because a socialist is running for president, gay marriage is spreading like wildfire and pot legalization is gaining acceptance.

A new analysis of Wall Street Journal/NBC News poll data finds a marked increase in the share of registered voters identifying themselves as liberals, and an even bigger drop in the share saying they are conservatives.

In three national polls conducted so far in 2015, the analysis found that 26% of registered voters identified themselves as liberals — up from 23% in 2014. At the same time, the share of voters identifying as conservatives dropped to 33% from 37% in 2014.

The analysis by GOP pollster Bill McInturff, who looked at survey data from 2010 to 2015, found that the biggest ideological shifts came among women, young people, Latinos and well-educated voters, as well as people in the West and in cities.

My instant punditry says this article is a plant by GOP-E types who want to instantly dismiss the grass roots conservatives who do not want a liberal Republican as the nominee.

Yet I still intend to vote for Ted and don’t really care what the cool kids think.

Liberals are a large majority except in the South and parts of the West, as “moderates” are just shy liberals.

Hell, I’m liberal. I’ll ask someone what the hell they are doing in my yard at night and wait for a good answer before I shoot.

women, young people, Latinos and well-educated voters, as well as people in the West and in cities.///

women want to be taken care of and also care about kids that they didn’t have. It is the nurture side, but it is misdirected

Latinos want free everything and want to be the majority.

well educated voters means spoiled kids who went to college, which also accounts for the youth vote.

Us silly middle aged and older white men need to die, according to Oprah, and probably a lot more people on the left.

I’ll never get over how white women filled the seats to see a black talk show host who said their parents need to die.

If 26% of registered voters identified themselves as liberals, 74% did not, so how did Obama manage to win two elections? I'd suggest the poll means most people don't understand what a "liberal" or a "conservative" is. (What, exactly, is a "moderate"????)

Mush-headed non-informed kardashites call themselves liberals because they are told that conservatives are racists who want to starve children and push grandma down the steps.

When you ask them particulars, huge numbers of them disagree strongly with most of the leftist agenda.

Conservatives are far more liberal in the traditional sense than so called liberals.

Most Moderates are Social Liberals but Economic Conservatives. And when the rubber meets the road, people will vote their pocket book over their “pet” social cause, every time

It truly amazes me that those that elected Obama will come unglued if you mention something close to disagreeing with him....they absolutely go ballistic....there can be no discussion. What are they so afraid of.....? Is this response normal?

Just discovered this about the "GOP pollster Bill McInturff"...if Wikipedia can be believed:

He was the lead pollster for John McCain in his 2008 bid for the office of United States President.

Ha. No wonder.

That’s fine, but how do they vote? Just read an article a couple of days ago on how recent elections down ticket forebodes dismal days for Democrats (liberals) ahead. No bench strength which is why there’s a has been carpet bagger, an avowed socialist, a rain water revenuer and someone who’s platform is based on converting the US to the metric system. Seems State offices and local offices down to the local dog catcher have been overwhelmingly R for the last 8 years. How many R Govs and State Legislature majorities are there? Definitely a plant article by the GOPe.
