Former Texas Governor Rick Perry joined the 600 other candidates for the Republican presidential nomination this week. The gravest danger of a Perry presidency would be that Hillary will use some trite quip that Perry will then adopt as a serious policy proposal.
In 2006, Perry’s gubernatorial opponent, Chris Bell, explained his opposition to a border fence, saying, “building a 20-foot wall would create a giant market for 21-foot ladders, and that’s about it.” It’s an old joke — but at least Bell is an actual Democrat.
Suddenly, that was all Perry could say on the subject of a border fence.

Say, why doesn’t Perry use that quip on Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu?

Tell me how Governor Rubio, Rand or Cruz would have not created 1 million jobs in Texas.

Build a 20 foot fence and I’ll show you a 21 foot Mexican.
Cruz would have created jobs in Texas for H1b visa holders and put American citizens out of work creating more jobs for bureaucrats in the government processing unenployment claims. Rand would let them all in and Rubio let them all stay.
I’m sick and tired of a system that completely eliminates someone as candidate for President because of a mis-statement, a thoughtless statement, a faux pas. Actually, now that I think of it, that’s probably why Obama’s past is nearly 100% unaccounted for. By erasing everything he ever did or said helped get him elected. I guess that’s the reality now when it comes to American Presidential elections.

Perry has lived and breathed open borders for 14 years as Texas Governor. So did Rubio as Speaker. He saw the problems of illegal immigration in Florida.
Rand Paul and Walker get a pass on the issue to some degree because they are clueless and not informed.
That’s why I prefer Jeff Sessions, Pat McCrory, Paul LePage, David Vitter & Donald Trump.
Cruz and Walker as the better polling candidates are clearly better than the choices of Jeb Perry.

It’s not about Perry. It’s the whole entire system, as run by the media, Dems, and RINOs.
It’s good that we now have Ann on our side.
She’s late to the party and clung to the RINO party line for too long.
Maybe it’s that finally the Invasion got all the way to New York and even Northeastern WASPs couldn’t ignore it.
Whatever. What counts is that a sharp tongued ally is good to have.
It’s pointless to criticize being late on the bandwagon. What’s important is that we got one more of use.
Need every soldier we can get.
