Looks more like the IRS is flipping the middle finger at Congress.
a lot worse than stonewalling, I suspect. a complete lack of regard for legislative branch and full allegiance to the executive.
something one would have only seen once upon a time when a dictator was consolidating power and colluding agencies knew they had nothing to fear.
Off topic, but what about Al Sharpton and his documented several.million dollar tax bill?? Why is the IRS not going after him? Why is Sharpton apparently facing no legal sanctions over his unpaid taxes???
Actually Congress needs to march in there (with a judge order if needed) and demand the info NOW....but then they are so neutered I don’t think they have what it takes to be so bold
Congress deserves it. They have the power of life and death over the IRS. They can zero out their budget. They can destroy the IRS but won’t lift a finger.
So how else do they expect the IRS to treat them.
Its like that German soldier in Saving Private Ryan, passing that coward on the stairs. He barely gives him a glance.
I am with the IRS on this one. Since there is no reason to believe the GOP is serious about doing anything to stop them, the form letter is what they deserve.
Congress needs to impound some pay checks and send marshals into the offices to confiscate documents.
This should have been done as soon as that letter was received
and maybe that is why the feds are buying all those bullets.
Yup.
I am not sure what more the GOP has to do to convince their voters that they are batting for the other team. I swear that the GOP leadership sits in the DC confrence rooms shaking their heads at the stupid emanating from their sycophants.
They really need to just announce the parties merged. The only reason I suspect they do not is that it would make dem voters, who are obviously smarter, go independent.
The slave has become the master. Anyone surprised?
lol Oh good grief. Not even the balls to sign it.
They all belong in JAIL!!!
ping
Its not balls. It’s scorn.
agreed.
“We’d expect officials at the IRS, who also work for and are paid by the U.S. taxpayer, to take the same care and effort in crafting a response to our inquiry,” she said. “The allegations swirling around the Clinton Foundation are very serious and raise issues of great public importance.”
This is just bloviation. Here they talk all big and with
authority. Spineless cowards that took impeachment off the table
because they were afraid of being called racist by racist.
Honestly, they deserved the pimp slap.
The GOP is just noise.
the IRS has approximately 95,000 employees. i wonder what the breakdown is between democRATS and republicans. 10:1? 20:1? 100:1?
it’s pretty clear that any bureaucracy passes the threshold to become a politicized organization when it’s employees vote overwhelmingly for one party over the other. it would certainly explain why the IRS takes such delight in going after targets on the right, while completely ignoring crimes committed by those on the left.
More like the Rappers of politics. They are all about the money and power with no talent or substance to get it. So like any wannabee, they latch on to the powerful and bilk the stupid for their cash and adulation.
And I defy any of the drooling GOP backers remaining to show with the actions of the GOP being what they are, how that comparison isn’t correct.
