In addition, the couple getting “the law involved” are wrong as well.

Spitting in food, or worse, is tampering. You want some HIV/Hep-C case spitting in your food? Had that lid not come off, the customer would have consumed the drink, ingesting who knows what besides just saliva. Hep-C isn't funny, and if left untreated, deadly.

Damn right I'm gonna go after someone who tampered with my food, especially if they look like they putt from the rough.

I am not saying that it is not serious and they should be able to deal with the management for a proper remedy. However, this is certainly not something that requires police involvment....

The police are being asked to get involved in to many every day occurances that should be able to be handled “man to man.” Neighbors don’t need to call the police for grass that gets too long, or barking dogs. Restaurant customers don’t need to call the police when they are out of McNuggets, or upon a suspicion of spit in food.

We need men to be men and women to be women, not little boys and girls. Unless of course, we think we will enjoy a police state.
