Roughly one dozen students in Minneapolis, Minnesota, some as young as 11 years old, were taken on a private school-sponsored field trip to an adult novelty store last week, leaving some parents furious.
The director of the private Gaia Democratic School in Minneapolis, Starri Hedges, took the middle- and high school-aged kids to “Smitten Kitten” as part of a sex education lesson.
Parent Lynn Floyd called the field trip a “major breach of trust,” adding that parents were not even notified ahead of the trip. Both of her daughters, aged 11 and 13, attended the off-campus trip.
“You just can’t erase those images,” the mother said.
However, Hedges called the sex-ed field trip “beautiful” in a statement on Monday, according to the Star Tribune.
“What I saw happening on our trip, I thought it was beautiful because kids could talk to these sex educators without any shame, without any fear,” she said.

I am glad my children are through with school.

I’m surprised the parents are upset.
Hard to have much sympathy for parents who willingly send their children to a private school with that name.
Well, look at the bright side. If they weren't going on field trips to XXX sex shops, they probably would be learning about their fundamental right to get an abortion.

Parents not even notified. These “progressives” believe they own your child. I had one tell me that to my face.
Anyone who sends their kids to Gaia Democratic School and doesn’t expect things like this to happen isn’t paying attention and/or has a screw loose.
Anyone who sends their kids to a Unitarian church to a school called Gaia Democratic with a headmaster named Starri is guilty of parental malpractice to begin with.
Who is that, the teacher? If so, the parents get no sympathy from me, whatever they get they have coming.
That’s literally got “whackadoodle” written all over it.
A person would have to be a f---ing idiot to NOT assume that the curriculum at such a school would be rife with efforts to pervert their child's brain and desecrate their child's morals.
They have no one to blame but themselves.
God help their children.

Apparently, that is the “teacher” or it’s a picture associated with a couple articles about this.
Those responsible for this need to get a beating. I mean a physical break your nose and knock you down on the ground beating.

It has “Starri” on the image.
I believe that is the principal. That should tell the parents everything they need to know, but then they did walk into a school named “Gaia Democratic”.
