Trust me. If I wanted to be arrogant, I could justify it.

You can post the pix till you’re blue. Legals cannot be a problem unless there is a DemoRepublican feeding the COC cheap labor. When you remove the issue of the GOPe/Dem/COC cabal, the problem of legal immigrants taking American jobs vanishes.

Now if you want to argue against that, it’s not arrogance on my part, it’s blindness on yours.

Glad you’re not running, because I wouldn’t vote for you.

I would like to build a fence around Christie, and then poke him with sharp sticks.

Legals cannot be a problem unless there is a DemoRepublican feeding the COC cheap labor.

Legal permanent immigrants are not slave labor. They get green cards and in five years can become naturalized citizens with all the rights and privileges of the native born.

Again, you don't seem to understand how our legal immigration system works. Only about 12% of the 1.1 million who enter annually are done on the basis of merit. The other 88% come here sponsored by their relatives. We have individual country quotas.

The Dems support as much legal immigration as possible because they are future Dem voters who support Big Government. The churches, labor unions, and other interest groups see them as a source of power thru their numbers.

The COC involvement comes mainly thru the importation of guest workers on temporary work visas that can eventually be converted into permanent immigrant visas. The Big Government Reps march to the tune of their corporate paymasters, as do the Dems. Th GOPe, Dems, and COC siupport amnesty, legalizing the status of the lawbreakers so they can stay and work here.

Legal immigrants are a problem due to their numbers and the laws used to bring them in. It will take a change in the laws to reduce the numbers and the composition of who comes in.

When you remove the issue of the GOPe/Dem/COC cabal, the problem of legal immigrants taking American jobs vanishes.

Au contraire. They will continue to be a problem in terms of jobs and wages for the American worker unless their numbers are substantially reduced. Do you really think the Dems would support a reduction in the numbers given their voting patterns? CA has the demographics today of what America will look like in 2050. "Nuff said.

Now if you want to argue against that, it’s not arrogance on my part, it’s blindness on yours.

You still don't get it. The bottom line is that we are taking in too many legal immigrants and guest workers. They are taking American jobs and depressing wages.

Jeff Session gets it. Every Rep running for President should read, Becoming the Party of Work. How the GOP can help struggling Americans, and itself. So far, only Walker and Santorum have it right.

And they get to work at a fraction of American pay for a reason. Dear God learn about the issues you post on before grasping at straws.

Legal immigrants are covered by minimum wage laws. Again, we have a surplus of labor, which drives down everyone’s wages.

You are clueless. I’m going to bed.

Half true. You are going to bed. I guess all the stories about h1B’s getting raped by their companies and the laws that enable it as crony kickback eludes you so there’s that I suppose.

Totally agree but, I’m offering another solution that doesn’t involve totalitarianism or fascism.

Besides, it’s getting harder to order food at McDonald’s and they are putting Chinese cooks out of work at Panda Express....

Real Americans use the Dennis Leary method of food consumption. Eat what you want, ride the rest home. No server needed. What are you, some commie pinko that requires an umbrella in your girlie drink? ;)

On a serious note, I spent lot of time in Mex prior to 2000. Once you get away from the bordertowns it’s an incredible place. Lots of great folks there that could GAF if America exists or not much less want to come here. But that Govt they have is only slightly worse than ours. If we both got our acts together, Mexico could be a paradise.

Mexico is great once you get past the border.

UGH!!! Hate walking across the international bridge.

Frickin beggars every 3 feet. Such industrious A-holes, who would not only scam you but, would act as a distraction while your pockets are picked and then call every cousin on the other end of the bridge telling em another idiot “mark” is coming...

I rather enjoyed my time with the Tecate Girls when I used to go cover the Baja off-road races. We all swore there was a special farm or genetic lab down there because they were too flawless to occur in nature. Being a media whore with press creds had it’s privileges.

Ah to be young again... ;)

A border fence would be nice, very nice, but more important is responding firmly to illegals who are already here. We need a tent city on the border to house illegals while processing them for deportation. We cannot allow them to melt into the background and refuse to appear, nor can we allow them to earn money (legally or illegally) while awaiting a hearing. We should detain them, deport them, and bar them from any legal reentry for life. It’s an “all of the above” strategy that emphasizes protecting our sovereignty.

Legal immigration is open for debate, but the level of illegal immigration should be zero.

The H-1B program is full of abuse. I can provide you with volumes of data demonstrating it. Companies are using it to replace American workers at cheaper wages. Cruz, Paul, Bush, etc. want to increase the H-1B numbers exponentially.

Your focus appears to be on the abuse of the "poor" recipient who gets a work permit and earns more money than where they came from. After six years the recipient can apply for permanent immigrant status sponsored by the employer. My concern is about American jobs and wages. We should be focused on the rights of American citizens and not "abused" guest workers.

FYI: Obama has now extended thru executive action the right of spouses of H-1B workers to have work permits as well.

We need a 10 moratorium on all immigration to try and sort out what we got.
