And if you did often go for lunch with members of criminal gangs, would it be an inexplicable, baffling and unexpected suprise if one day you got shot or arrested during one of these power lunches?
Of course it would be possible to get shot...I have the sense I'm taking my life in my hands downtown Seattle certain nights. The Seattle PD being what it is, one worries about them as much as the thugs. So it's possible I could be arrested too.
But 170 bikers, complete with $1M bail handed out as a participation award? I can understand (if not approve) of an "arrest them all and we'll sort it out later" mentality. This appears to be a "prove to the judge you've done nothing wrong" mentality. That's abuse of process.
Again, you've employed the broad generalizations, not me. That's intellectually indefensible.
Again, moving forward...it's possible some will accept plea bargain agreements. I predict most will go to trial and most will be acquitted. Some convicted will be overturned on appeal.
I do not have to approve of the lifestyle of bike gangs. It only becomes my business when they cross a legal line. On the other hand, I DO have to approve of the actions of government...because as Americans and Conservatives we believe in LIMITED government.
