You say you don’t expect to get shot or arrested when you go for lunch. Sure, if you’re going for lunch with grandma. But if you are dining with the Mexican Zetas then good luck to you and let’s not hear any complaints if something unexpected happens.

If I'm in a potentially dangerous area or situation, I'm assuming a certain danger. That doesn't mean I sign a waiver...IOW, yes, if I'm shot, I will complain. As I should.

It's one thing to think you may be caught in a gang dispute; something worlds different when the bullet that injures you was paid for by taxpayers.

And again...I can understand (if not approve) of a "let's arrest them all and sort it out later" mentality. This has gone far, far beyond that.

If you believe that "law and order" justifies excess, just say so. At least we could respect your clarity of thought, if not the result.
