Health insurance premiums could be going up by more than 30 percent next year for many people in Illinois who buy individual plans, a hefty increase that insurers say is driven by the costs of members' medical bills.

On Monday, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services posted a list of proposed rate increases above 10 percent on the healthcare.gov website.

Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Illinois, Coventry Health Care and Assurant Health have proposed the largest average rate increases in the state for 2016, the third year plans will be sold through the online marketplace established under the federal Affordable Care Act. Humana and downstate insurer Health Alliance also requested increases averaging above the 10 percent threshold.

As proposed, the increases represent a much larger jump than last year, when one of the most popular plans in Illinois increased by an average of 2.6 percent. . .

If I read this correctly (and it looks to have been highly obfuscated on purpose), “some” means EVERYONE who purchase health insurance exchange policies.

There are projections for rate increases of 38% in both KS and MO next year.

All to gin up hatred against a system that used to work, to get the sheeple to demand government run health care.

The US government needs to be prosecuted under RICO statutes.

But then, we wind up with the government we deserve...
