Australia’s political opposition hopes to harness momentum from the Irish gay marriage referendum after it proposed a law Monday that would recognize same-sex marriages, something the country’s conservative prime minister is against.
Center-left Labor Party leader Bill Shorten became the first leader of a major Australian political party to back a bill to overturn a national ban on gay marriage.
Gay rights advocates fear that government lawmakers will be reluctant to support the bill as such a law would be seen as a political victory for Shorten over Prime Minister Tony Abbott, a former Roman Catholic seminarian and a staunch opponent of marriage equality.
Shorten told Parliament the law would not compel religious clerics to officiate at same-sex marriages. He called on Abbott to allow lawmakers in his ruling Liberal Party a free vote, rather than require them to back the party’s line in opposing marriage equality.
“Our laws should be a mirror reflecting our great and generous country and our free, inclusive society,” Shorten said on introducing the bill. …

The world's churches are heading head-long into a crescendo of "tribulation" with "Social Media" and "Mainstream Media" beating the drums for ordination of homosexuals, feminazis as priests and elders... just fiendish change for the sake of change... driven by evil spirits bent on ungluing our culture, our society and the basic unit thereof, our families!!!
Sooner or later, and not much later, some churches, families and a very large sector of our societies are going to finally react to this stench of dissembling our customs, traditions and the greatest culture seen on this planet in it's recorded history. There will be a revival of faith based soley on God's word as recorded throughout the entire Bible!
Forces are hard at work to render such a revival impotent with weapons like political correctness and "gotcha" politics. There will be push-back and I'm sure it will be a pitched battle all the way to the end, which I believe is eminent.
We too shall overcome some day!!!

They feel that they get to define the “center” any way they please. Obviously, that “center” is Maoism.
