I don’t think so. As long as he’s respectful, which he is, he can do his Pledge of Allegiance in whatever he happens to be wearing. In this case, evidently summer leisure wear, ready to mow the lawn or whatever. You don’t need to put on a coat and tie to honor the flag, unless it’s a special occasion.
