True story. Back during the 2004 election, my in-laws were in town. We, being in Pennsylvania, were asked to go with them to Amish country. My wife and mil (as most women) were interested in shopping, so my fil and I walked around town to see some real Amish businesses. Since it was a weekday in the fall long after tourist season, and Amish father and his daughter were keeping watch over a couple of horse-drawn cabs for hire.

With no business imminent, we started talking with them. Nice folks, very friendly and, I suppose, were aiming to get us to hire a cab. Beautiful teams of horses as well. I happened to have a morning paper with me and one of them had a face just like Kerry, who had made a visit to the newspaper's home town and gotten a front page spread.

I held the paper up beside the doppelganger horse and asked the young lady if she didn't see a strong resemblance. "Please sir," she replied, "Don't insult my horse."
