Third time I've seen this lie by omission in FR.
It's true only because 2013 was a statistical outlier, with the lowest number of cops murdered in 35 years (27). Even with the increase, 2014 was considerably lower (51) than the average (64) over that 35 years.
Since these numbers aren't hard to find, I'm forced to assume those spreading the lie are doing so intentionally.
You know, because it supports their idea the US is descending into a cauldron of violence.

As of May 11, 10 cops had been feloniously killed in 2015. A rate well below that of 2014, and for that matter below 2013.
