...congressional Republicans sent a letter to new Attorney General Loretta Lynch Thursday asking her to follow through on their official request last year for a criminal investigation into Ms. Lerner’s behavior at the IRS.

Well, that was a waste of paper...

I didn't have that example handy, but I was going to say that the pattern is pardons, not prosecution.

By and large, politicians and thier minions are a protected class. It is rare for them to turn one of their own in.

Nothing will happen after the next election either.

Turns out, Republican Senators like McCain (and probably House Republicans too) were also supporting the persecution of conservative groups by the IRS.

I believe we will learn the same thing about Benghazi, that Republican Congressmen were in on whatever happened and they have no intention of uncovering the truth from Hillary.

"Perhaps Dennis Hastert is the first exception to the rule and a warning to others."

We'll see. He's a long way away from jail.

It’s called oversight nullification, Liberal DA’s refuse to prosecute rioters, the DOJ refuses to enforce many laws fro immigration to the IRS. We are a country not of laws, but of the lawless.

Hastert’s crime as far as DC is concerned is one of convenience. It gets Hillary! out of the news cycle or if not Hillary! some other scandal. DC has a slew of potential indictments available at any time and they are used depending on need. Hastert was picked because he’s an ex-Speaker, sex criminal and Republican. Capisce?
