--snip-- Sitting on a whopping $5 billion windfall from legal settlements with financial firms, Cuomo and the Legislature earmarked $100 million for NYCHA as the merest downpayment on a $16 billion backlog of maintenance projects. De Blasio and NYCHA Chairwoman Shola Olatoye developed a program for adding the cash to a $300 million pot of city money to fix roofs, prioritizing the 126 in worst condition and most vulnerable to mold-propagating leaks.

But instead of putting the money where de Blasio and Olatoye rationally believe it is most needed, the governor invited members of the Assembly to submit wish lists for projects “in the range of up to $2 million.”

Am I correct in disambiguating NYCHA into New York City Housing Authority? Acronyms lead to confusion, like PA being Pennsylvania or Palestinian Authority. Specification of De Blasio gave me a clue.

In who's pockets did the maintenance budget money go so that the roofs went bad?.. odds are into the same pockets this federal largess will go.. Where is the MAFIA?...

Answer: it went federal long ago.. thats WHY you don't hear of the mafia anymore.. Except in movies as a fictional bad guy.. Federal politicians and staffs are "MADE" people.. with capos, dons, underboss's,soldiers and all the other slimy mafia thievery officials....
