If Comer goes for a full recount and miraculously gains votes after this recanvass, he will be dead in the general election because *everyone* will know it was fraud.

Does the Kentucky GOPe understand that? We will see.

Do not underestimate the stupidity of the Ruling Class GOP - or the imbeciles that make up the GOP Party in KY.

They would rather the Governor’s seat go to a Liberal Democrat than any Conservative.

I'm guessing that Bevin benefited from a lot of Kentuckians who are having buyer's remorse for sending the turtle back to Washington by a substantial margin in last year's primary.

I'm old enough to remember when the turtle narrowly won his first election (the only GOP challenger in the U.S. Senate races to do so) in Reagan's 49 state landslide in 1984. He was actually worth voting for back then before he evolved into a surrender monkey.

Me, my wife & my brother all will refuse to vote for Comer if he gets a recount and subsequently wins.

I must be as old as you are! I remember McConnell’s initial win and the fact that (back then) he was a pretty good guy! DC destroys so many people. Sad.

Practically every week the CJ sets up a booth in Kroger to sell subscriptions. I just smile and say no thanks, I wouldn’t have that liberal rag delivered for free.

I smile and reply: “you couldn’t pay me to read it.” They never know what to say.

DC destroys so many people. Sad.

Not just DC. State Capitals, City Halls, County Court Houses, any public office. After a while, the pols forget who they work for and think they represent government deadheads instead of taxpayers. I'm old enough to have seen it happen many times.

The important thing is can he hang on and win the general, assuming his narrow margin in the primary holds?

1984 was a very good year for me. Not only did I marry the love of my life, but Orin Hatch was still a conservative firebrand and Mitch was a breath of fresh air to the politics as usual crowd.

Your observation is spot on. Jesse Helms is the only political figure in my lifetime who actually got better with age. He did more to save this country from slipping into the Orwellian version of 1984 than anyone else, save Ronald Reagan.

Lord, how I miss them both!

He’ll have to pay for a recount.
I believe that would take a huge amount of crony bribes, more than the cronies would want to pay.
The expected ROI on bribes is astronomical.
