The examination found that areas with higher frequencies of racist Google queries had a higher prevalence of Black deaths. Those findings remained the same when additional demographic and socioeconomic characteristics of the areas, such as the number of Blacks, and levels of education and poverty, were taken into account.

It is possible to identify the geographic location of people submitting Google queries? I did not know that.

So if we turn that around: we know that areas with a higher prevalence of Black deaths are areas with a higher Black population. And if it is within these areas that we have higher frequencies of racist Google queries what does that say about the level of racism in the population of these areas?

Somehow I don't think these researches explored that one. Or that Afro.com would publish such observations.

How many times does anyone have to google the N-word?

What percentage of searches contain the N-word?

Now if rap lyrics routinely contain this word, that might account for multiple searches by the same person.

The N-word followed by a space and any letter doesn’t autocomplete for any of them. So it can’t be a very common search term at all.
