When It Comes to Global Warming, the News Media Only See What They Want
Mediaite ^ | May 26,2015 | John Ziegler

In 2013, USA Today, among many major news outlets to focus on the issue, published a special report on how global warming was exacerbating the supposedly historic drought in Texas and that “likely do more damage in the future.” Well, that drought is amazingly now officially over less than two years later.

This, in a remotely logical world, would leave only two options: 1) Global Warming has been fixed; or 2) The report was a piece of garbage using a natural cycle to promote a political agenda. I asked the reporter via Twitter if she intended on retracting the piece now that the supposedly global warming-caused drought is over so incredibly quickly, but shockingly I got no response.

Nowhere in the news media was there any indication that this drought data point, which has recently been used to score points in the global warming debate, had been effectively been proven to have been illegitimate. The news media ignored the same development with regard to Florida’s horrific drought of 2006-07 which has since been doused, except for the very southern tip of the state (which is ironically still drier than normal because of the pronounced lack of hurricanes produced by Global Warming lately).

Also this past week, most of the news media managed to somehow overlook a report by Forbes which indicated that one of the basic foundations of the global warming religion is based in a falsehood. It turns out that NASA satellite data now indicates that the polar ice caps have not actually receded at all since that information started to become available in 1979

I've also noticed lately that the drive-by channels are constantly opening their news reports with video of the worst weather in the country.

Flooding, torrential rains, mudslides, mayhem, death, OMG, we've never had weather like this EVER!

They don't mention global warming, but the underlying message is clear.

"Look America, this is happening EVERYWHERE, if you don't believe in man-made global warming now, you're a blind, climate change denying neandrathal!"

When it comes to anything, the US press, other than the National Enquirer, only serves to further the goals of the half breed sodomite illegal in the oval office and it’s destruction of the Union.

Remember the old adage “Follow The Money”. Somebody has to be making a lot of money on this Global Warming/Climate Change Crap. Does anybody have an idea of where the pots of gold are on this?

Contracts...”research” on solar, warming, cooling, wind...you name it. A combination of so-called research and, then, development of the white elephants drains a lot. These degenerates are criminals.

Making this even more remarkable is the fact that 1979 was at the end of a cooling period and therefore should have been a year from which icecap reseeding would be more obvious.

who knew the icecaps are grown from seed...?

I’ve been in Norway for he past two weeks and they are having the coldest May since 1996. The joke here is “Hvor er den globale oppvarming når du virkelig trenger den” (Where is the Global Warming when you need it).

For decades the liberals have appropriated the term of "Military-Industrial Complex" with little attribution or consideration of its source, President Eisenhower's "Farewell Address" 01/17/1961. In that address he made the following point;

"In the councils of government, we must guard against the acquisition of unwarranted influence, whether sought or unsought, by the military–industrial complex. The potential for the disastrous rise of misplaced power exists, and will persist. We must never let the weight of this combination endanger our liberties or democratic processes. We should take nothing for granted. Only an alert and knowledgeable citizenry can compel the proper meshing of the huge industrial and military machinery of defense with our peaceful methods and goals so that security and liberty may prosper together."

I FIRMLY BELIEVE that in todays polity, President Eisenhower would give warning against the "Academic-Progressive-Welfare State Complex" and its efforts to endanger our liberties AND democratic processes.

Liberals leave out the rest of Ike’s Farewell Address:

Akin to, and largely responsible for the sweeping changes in our industrial-military posture, has been the technological revolution during recent decades.

In this revolution, research has become central, it also becomes more formalized, complex, and costly. A steadily increasing share is conducted for, by, or at the direction of, the Federal government.

Today, the solitary inventor, tinkering in his shop, has been overshadowed by task forces of scientists in laboratories and testing fields. In the same fashion, the free university, historically the fountainhead of free ideas and scientific discovery, has experienced a revolution in the conduct of research. Partly because of the huge costs involved, a government contract becomes virtually a substitute for intellectual curiosity. For every old blackboard there are now hundreds of new electronic computers.

The prospect of domination of the nation’s scholars by Federal employment, project allocations, and the power of money is ever present – and is gravely to be regarded.

Yet, in holding scientific research and discovery in respect, as we should, we must also be alert to the equal and opposite danger that public policy could itself become the captive of a scientific-technological elite.

"Carbon Credits"

Carbon credits or pollution credits are generated by making capital investments. Business A makes the capital investment required to reduce emissions, which generates a credit, which he can then sell, and use the proceeds to partially offset the capital cost.

Business B bought the credit which allowed him to put off making the investment, but he is really paying for Business A's equipment.

When a trading scheme kicks off, pollution credits can be created out of thin air as a way to keep the initial cost down. Which is what Congress did in 2009-10. But in that case, the free pollution credits went to coal states, angering the natural gas industry who claimed it was a coal subsidy.

The same people who think TAXES can eliminate sun spots, cause rain or stop rain, increase snow or decrease snow, lower temperatures or raise temperatures, cause hurricanes or stop hurricanes, cause earthquakes or stop earth quakes, lower the oceans, increase ice caps, etc...

Actually I like Lutefisk, after all it is smothered in bacon, but it’s the Aquavit afterwards that really makes it nice.

When It Comes to Global Warming, the News Media Only See What They Want

When it comes to EVERYTHING, the News Media only see what they want. This is why the existing structure (Total Liberal Monopoly) needs to be destroyed, and replaced with a newer and more objective entity.

For years I have wondered why Conservatives don't sue the news organizations for deliberate hiring bias. Even if they don't win, making it an issue might achieve some concessions.
