An anonymous group of hackers has been in control of the Republican Party of Kentucky’s website since Sunday.

RPK Chairman Steve Robertson told Pure Politics he has contacted the website’s designers and host, but because of the Memorial Day holiday staffers will not be able to begin addressing the problem until later Monday. Robertson was notified of the hack Sunday afternoon, he said.

The reason for the attack at this point in time is unknown.

“I don’t know anything other than it’s been hacked and the people who can address it will be able to begin addressing it this evening,” Robertson said.

He added that he has asked the Web administrators “about contacting law enforcement once they get their hands on the site and have an understanding of what’s happened to it.”

The party’s website now reads that the site was hacked by AnonCoders, an apparent subset of the hacking collective known as Anonymous.

According to the group’s posting on the RPK site 13 separate hackers working in collective took part in the attack on the website.

Online the group is known for denial of service attacks and database leaks with attacks on websites across the globe.

Robertson said donor information on the RPK’s site is collected using a separate server, so he believes that information is secure.

“That’s not through the rpk.org server,” he said. “If it’s just a link on our page it goes to a totally different server system.”

A majority of the attacks from AnonCoders has has been political in nature with the latest known hacks from the group taking place against governments, cinemas, news sites according to IT pro portal.

In April, the group was attacking sites declaring cyber war with the Israeli government. After the April attacks the group promised more hacks would come

Anonymous is not as liberal minded as the Left would like us to believe. In fact I have seen them stand up for conservative values on many occassions. I have listened to hundreds of their videos over the years.

That’s how one might lay the blame on another group too. I’d say its almost a little too obvious.

There Anoncoders also wants to stop the killing of Muslims and have been spying on Mossad agents online. Who does this really sound like to you if you think about it. Why would Anonymous suddenly take up these causes when they haven’t taken them up before? Probably because they aren’t Anonymous but someone claiming an affiliation with them. Maybe someone tied to ISIS...What better a cover would it be to blame it on a very well known hacking group?
