How far could you lay the blame in the chain of cause and effect? Could we blame Clinton? How about Reagan? If it wasn’t for Clinton, the condition wouldn’t be set for Bush to come into power.
Saddam Hussein was responsible for the deaths of 1.3 million innocents. Had he been left alone, he would have a nuke by now.
If we had not removed Hussein from power, (where we had him totally under control with ‘no fly zones along Iranian border, plus along with our support to the Kurdish rebels in the north), there would be no ISIS today.
That presumes that the U.S. and Israelis would have 'allowed' that. Which is pure BS.
If OBama didn’t come into office, attack Libya and armed “moderate rebels” in Libya/Syria to remove the dictators in both countries we wouldn’t have ISIS today

The problem was created by the State Department's decision to remove all elements of the former Baath Party from any position of power in post-war Iraq.
They were the only ones who knew how to run anything.
It was Patton 1945 all over again. Those who do not have the slightest idea how to wage a war think they should make all the decisions after the shooting stops.
In reality, a war is really over anywhere from 6 to 60 months after the shooting stops.
In Vietnam, it wasn't really over until the 90s.
Throughout world history regimes have found there is a pile of money to be made, and power to be gotten, via creating war and instilling fear.
