He has explained it...people on FR called it BS. Do some research. Remember, if you are going to drop support for one vote (when he has been solid on everything else) you are a weak supporter at best. So, who else is better?

Huckabee, really? For all of you morons who are saying “well, I guess I will support someone else”, tell us WHO else is better than Cruz. The funny part...when pressed, these crying pansies can’t give an answer as to whom they’d support...just that they won’t support Cruz.

And most important, TPA will require the administration to post the full text of the agreement at least 60 days before completing the deal, so the American people can read it themselves.

That and all that you included in your post means next to nothing since Congress only has an up or down vote with no opportunity to amend the agreement. They set it up that way so they can pretend that the overall agreement is so important and will be so great for the US that they couldn't possibly reject the entire agreement negotiated with umpteen nations because of a few little troublesome details.

They deliberately shut Congress and the people out of the process to avoid objections to details they know would be rejected it presented individually.

How long have you been supporting Cruz? Have you ever met him?

"Huckabee, really? For all of you morons who are saying “well, I guess I will support someone else”, tell us WHO else is better than Cruz. "

Cruz is a good man. But he's on the wrong side of two, make or break issue of mine and millions of other conservative Americans:

Legalization of those here illegally now, and more legal immigration, and...

The ruse of "free trade". Only the uneducated or evil intended believe such a thing as "free trade" exists in the world today, or ever.

It's a Smithsonian Capitalist fantasy world that only ever existed in the brilliant mind of Adam Smith. Sure, if the world was made up of only free and honest men, without borders and without myriad forms of governance, one could have truly Free Trade.

But in a world of greedy despots, calculating mercantilists and naive environmentalists, any country which opens their markets in such a way as to ignore reality, is DESTINED FOR DOOM.

I have supported him since he declared. I have not yet met him but I am volunteering in my state for his campaign and I have donated and will continue to do so

Ok, so then who are you supporting? why do you many of you who bash Cruz never say who you support?

Which candidates voted differently on these issues than Cruz? Prove it.

When someone who is my moral equal but smarter than me says something I don’t understand, my first thought is not that the other guy is stupid but that I must have misunderstood whkat is going on. So I educate myself by doing s little research. Invariably I learn something that did not take into consideration which explains everything. So I assume people like Sen. Cruz know exactly what they are doing and that they will explain for the lazy folk later. That would be me. I know he will explain later. That is what I would do and he is certainly smarter than I. Senator Cruz for me.

I wouldn’t waste your time with these people. The single issue only trade protectionists are getting almost as bad as the RuPaul isolationist blame-America first crowd with the constant ranting.

There’s major problems with this bill, but as was pointed out by others the sides are not fully divided along a conservative/liberal spectrum here. Obama was for it and Elizabeth Warren was against it.

The people here posting article after article about TPP b*tching about Cruz and this 1 vote are not serious about saving the country and have an agenda if they are willing to throw the man overboard on the basis of 1 vote which does not fall strictly along ideological lines since there’s issues on both sides.

Either you believe Ted Cruz is a true conservative that you can trust OR you don’t. He gave what I thought was a very logical explanation and why I might disagree with the bill and would prefer this not be dealt with until after Obama leaves office, I don’t see this vote as some kind of hidden agenda on the part of Cruz to deceive or lie. I just don’t agree with it.

As for your other question about whom these people support, I’ve seen Trump’s name come up.

I’ve also seen Tom Cotton’s name come up being championed as the lone person that opposed this vote (or maybe I’m thinking of another vote). My point is Cotton was immediately heralded as a hero and champion of true conservatism. Um ok, but I’m pretty sure before he got to the Senate he voted several times in 2011-2014 to increase the debt ceiling. But now, because of this 1 issue and this 1 issue only, he’s a champion and those other votes can be forgotten.

Yet Cruz’s history of a solid record is discarded because of 1 vote?

Yeah, that makes perfect sense ?!

Only those candidates that are senators were allowed to vote.

Believe none of it. It’s all kabuki theater, and it breaks my heart that Cruz is actually supporting it.

"Ok, so then who are you supporting?"

It's a fair question and I'll respond with the truth.

I don't know yet, but I'm leaning Walker. More on what he says recently then his history, which is a good one.

That said, I am adamantly undecided.

I will express my views publicly and loudly, I will call out any and every candidate when I think they are acting contrary to the essential interests of the Republic.

Yes, I could vote for Cruz.

But there's no way in holy hell I'll let him off the hook for this and his immigration policies.

I'll Excoriate him and every other candidate for the same issues.

SandwicheGuy, your approach is reasonable and I believe justified in the case of Senator Ted Cruz.

I've followed Ted's work closely from his earlier days as Texas Solicitor General and the cases he argued before the U.S. Supreme Court. We met early in his campaign for the U.S. Senate and I got involved in fundraising for him when he stood at only 2% in the polls. Incidentally, fundraising became much easier when former Gov. Sarah Palin endorsed Cruz. On one occasion I was fortunate to have a brief chat with Ted to express my serious concerns about the life and death issue of illegal immigration.

The thing about Cruz that people will have to get their head around is Ted is a politician that doesn't hide his true beliefs. When he takes a position on an issue and says or writes something about it, he isn't trying to cover ulterior motives. You can agree or disagree with Cruz, but I've never known him to intentionally deceive a constituent about where he stands or give reasons that he doesn't honestly believe.

It's incredibly difficult to trust politicians today. Cruz is the first to say we shouldn't trust their words, including from him, but rather look at their actions. Thus far, he hasn't given me serious cause to doubt his trustworthiness, integrity, or motives for serving in the U.S. Senate.

My time and donations are committed to Ted Cruz for President in 2016.

Thank you very much for your personal testimony of how trustworthy Ted Cruz is.

I've known him from his story, his words and his actions. He loves this country and our Constitution so much that he will not do anything to harm them.

Ok, so take out the Senators running for Pres. Now, that leaves the Govs, Trump and Fiorina. Which of those is perfect enough for you to support? And, what have they said about this issue?

There are many on here who have an agenda to destroy Cruz. No other candidates gets hammered as much for votes, etc. Maybe Paul on occasion, but nobody really takes the flak. That is why I think Cruz is winning...otherwise, people wouldn’t bother.

Why Walker? You blast Cruz for his votes, yet Walker you accept with his changing views on issues like immigration? This is what puzzles me. People blast Cruz who has been consistent to go with Walker who has been very good and whom I would support if nominated, but who is not the Conservative that Cruz is. The decision is yours, but you represent the issue I have with Freepers...you say you want a Conservative, and then tell me you are leaning toward a guy who is pretty Conservative, but who has “evolved” on issues.
