Did I read, somewhere, that Stalin got pissed at Isreal for picking the US as an ally instead of him after their reformation?
Not that simple. The new State of Israel got plenty of weapons from the Soviet bloc while a lot of the West was pro-Arab for the sake of oil. That didn’t really switch until the Suez Crisis, when the Soviet bloc agreed to supply Nasser and the Arabs while the US had to look elsewhere to counter Soviet influence. By then, Stalin was dead.
Stalin never said so exactly, but no doubt he thought the new State of Israel might be pro-Soviet given the socialists and Communists in Israel.
