That was my first reaction too (also mentioned that in the same thread earlier where I was wondering about his record). It does seem unlikely that one person could pull something as brutal as this off without assistance. Although, I guess not impossible - this guy looks very strong, and if he was armed, I guess he could have taken control of the whole family.
Or, the family could have cooperated with him if they thought that cooperating would save their lives. If I recall correctly, in the Cheshire case, the scumbags drove the wife to the bank to withdraw money, and had her go in by herself - she told the tellers what was going on, and said that the captors were being "nice" and only wanted money.
One guy with a gun can’t control four people, one will get away, so he probably had help..even if he was some sort of master criminal he left his DNA on pizza crust so he’s not that smart, he knew his DNA was in the system since he had a criminal record, his DNA in the system is automatic..he had history with the victim’s company, probably pissed that he got fired or something, doesn’t take much to set off a psycho..but to torture a 10 year old boy, I just can’t understand how a human being can do that to a child who did absolutely nothing to deserve it..if he hated the father, fine, in his sick head maybe I can understand that, but to torture the little boy, shows he is just pure evil and there is no cure for that
