Scott Walker is coming to Philadelphia.

The Wisconsin Governor and probable 2016 presidential candidate will keynote the 2015 Northeast Republican Leadership Conference.

“Governor Scott Walker is one of the leading voices of conservative values in the Republican Party,” PA GOP Chair Rob Gleason said. “Governor Walker has a proven track record of putting Republican principles into practice in government. Scott Walker has always put the needs of the taxpayer ahead of the wishes of special interests, and I look forward to hearing him discuss his vision for the future of our Party and our country.”

“As the cradle of liberty, Philadelphia is the perfect location to discuss the future of America with citizens from across the country,” Governor Walker responded. “I’m excited to speak with my fellow Americans about the ways we can put our great nation on the right path.”

Walker won’t be the only GOP presidential hopeful there either.

New Jersey Governor Chris Christie, former Pennsylvania Senator Rick Santorum and former Hewlett-Packard CEO Carly Fiorina will also be speaking.

RNC Chair Reince Priebus and former George W. Bush Advisor Karl Rove will also be in attendance.

The event will be held from June 18th to June 20th at the Sheraton Philadelphia Downtown Hotel.

They forgot his record of flip flopping, and his recently stated support for NSA spying on AMERICANS. No thanks. Cruz or lose, period.

“Charles Singleton walked out of the Grand Ballroom at the Cox Convention Center after Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker’s speech at the Southern Republican Leadership Conference today and grabbed a pollster.

He had heard enough. The 80-year old from Oklahoma City wants the governor for his next president.

“He talked to the common person, “ Singleton said.”He’s a wonderful Christian and I really think he would be a fabulous president.”

Sitting in the middle of the room where speeches from potential Republican candidates will continue for the rest of the week, Jennifer Sump and her husband both nodded in agreement with Walker.

Sump, who drove from Luther, said she loved Walker’s stance on national safety and education.

“He just spoke so passionately and I loved everything he said, “ Sump said.” This is just so exciting to hear from people like him. Feels like a once in a lifetime opportunity.”

I wish Cruz would change,(as you say, flip/flop) his support for 500% more H1b workers and on Obamatrade.

I like Senator Cruz but this will hurt his campaign.

He’d better watch exactly how much of his annual income they tax in Filthadelphia as he “works there”.

Whoops... That's his stand?

We need less LEGAL immigration, to say nothing of illegal...

That's the wrong direction, Cruz!

I listened to half of it. I think I’m fully in the Walker camp now. This policy would harm me personally.

I listened to a couple minutes of it. The thing that sticks in my craw about it is "advanced degree STEM jobs" (Sen. Cruz's words). I've been privileged to work in many types of environments, all high tech. The most talented group, in my experience, are those who are self-taught, who don't show up in the "how many degrees" statistic. They are often the driven entrepreneurs who have been writing code since they were in diapers, who have taught themselves linear algebra and differential calculus, etc. and how to apply them. This statement on Cruz's part demonstrates a breathtaking naivete of many tech industries.

Evaluating the best candidate for a given position is, in quantitative terms, a complex multivariate equation, not a simple linear function of who has which degree or who has how many years of experience.
