Of course he is. He has zero chance of winning.

Why doesn't Huckabee just skip all the primaries?

Huck sees the writing on the wall.
Jeb is still charging windmills.

Here's Huck (on guitar) at the Ames Straw Poll.
I agree. He needs to skip the next one.

Amazingly dishonest response by Huckabee. He’s skipping the poll that propelled him last time because it’s irrelevant? That is unconscionable politics and should disqualify him from any kind of consideration at all by any honest person. He’s skipping it because he’s losing badly.

Someone...Rush maybe...said that some of these guys run for president as resume enhancers. I can see that being necessary in Huck’s case.

I believe the Huckster and Limpsey are being directed to run for POTUS simply
to keep Ted Cruz from gaining huge momentum building wins
in the early southern primaries.

These two RINO hacks will dutifully bow out once that main goal is accomplished.

“the conservative candidates who best represent conservative and hard-working Iowans.”

Well, one thing is sure: the Huckster couldn’t be referring to himself in that statement. He is a tax and spend, open-borders, Nanny Stater. He is no conservative. The straw poll may well be a waste of time and money. But I suspect the reason he will not participate is that he can’t afford it. If he could, he would probably be all over it.

Great!

Then scratch the Huckster from the August televised debate!

He’s just running interference anyway.

“I have concluded this year's Iowa straw poll will serve only to weaken conservative candidates and further empower the Washington ruling class and their hand-picked candidates,” he wrote.

Huckabee isn't even a good liar. The Iowa straw poll is more biased to the perceived conservative evangelical candidate, not the "Washington ruling class"! LOL. He and Santorum are the last two winners. How can he spin that?!!!

Cross?!!! What cross?! How dare you call out my televangelistic pandering!!!

Huck skipping. Jeb supposedly also skilling.

Sounds like they have seen insider polls and want to avoid embarrassing early low votes.

==

Historically, however, the Iowa straw polls have meant very little. Only one non-incumbent has won it and the presidency in the last 50 years.

Santorum won it in 2012. Huckabee won it in 2008. Neither accumulated enough delegates to force themselves into a VP slot at a minimum.

I believe Huck in only running in order to give a Rino his endorsement in the final days of the primary.
