The answer is self-evident. The police will fire whether or not they are fired upon, if they feel their authority is threatened. Or if they "are in fear of their lives". Or if there's a dog. Or a small child in the way of a SWAT raid.

Wait until the various defendant’s lawyers get involved. It is likely they will bring the truth out. I don’t think the police are being honest, and we’re not hearing the bikers side, as they’re all in jail still with million dollar bonds.
Surely there were witnesses who were neither bikers or cops? I’d really like to hear what any non-biker/cop witness has to say.

It is a fact that the National Coalition of Motorcyclists issued a press release saying that a non-member club started the fight.
The National Coalition of Motorcyclists is the parent organization of the Texas Coalition of Clubs and Independents that hosted this meeting.
I can’t get any ‘biker’ on FR to acknowledge this press release. Every instance I have inserted this info into the conversation either indirectly or directly I have been completely ignored.
I assume that you will ignore this also.

Well, it was the only logical deduction, since I’m not drunk or retarded, and you’re one or maybe both of those, by your own self-admission above.
I generally see the law enforcement side of the issue. This incident gave the appearance of being planned by the police to take advantage of any incident started by the bikers. The fight was a biker vs biker thing as I read it. So I’ve got to entertain the possibility the police were “taking out the trash”.
