No. It is fundamentally unfair and wrong to exclude any. Have more than one debate. Create a lottery to decide who is in which debate. Decide the acceptable size and divide it up into the necessary number of debates.
Polling is about name recognition at this point. Give everyone a chance to be heard.
Just make the debate more than one and hours long. The people should hear what they need to hear and if they miss something they will catch what they need to on youtube.
Debates on TV are outdated and a waste of time. With the internet a candidate can get his message out to those who are interested. But the debates are pointless. It’s how we ended up with Rohmney and Obama
You and I had similar ideas. I thought they should be divided up, no more than 6 to a stage, and have similtaneous debates using the same questions. These could be aired consecutively so that everyone will be heard.
Alan Keyes decidedly won every debate he participated in but was arrested and handcuffed for trying to get into a debate after the GOPe had decided who would participate.
