A mother has told how she fought for justice for her daughter after she became a victim of revenge porn by the most 'hated man on the internet' Hunter Moore.

Charlotte Laws, 55, details in her new book 'Rebel in High Heels' how she helped take down one of the most infamous pushers of online revenge porn.

She says the inspiration for her fight begun in 2012 after her daughter, Kayla, revealed in an emotional phone call that a topless selfie of her had been posted onto a website.

Laws told The New York Post: 'That's the worst thing to hear as a mother. I wasn't expecting to hear about revenge porn, because I didn't know what that was. So I had to educate myself, quickly.

Kayla's topless selfie was uploaded to the website IsAnyoneUp.com - a site which boasted hundreds of photographs featuring half-dressed women, many nude, and many unsuspecting.

Many of the images were sent in by angry ex-boyfriends and many were stolen from home computers.

The founder of the website, Hunter Moore, 29, was nicknamed the 'Most Hated Man on the Internet' because he often refused to take down any of the images and reveled in his notoriety.

The way to avoid revenge porn is to NOT TAKE NAKED PICTURES OF YOURSELF AND SEND THEM TO PEOPLE!

Kayla confessed to her mom how she had taken at least 100 topless selfies in her bedroom mirror at home in Southern California in October 2011. She then sent them through e-mail to her computer to save them.

If only there was a simple way to make sure that didn't happen.

From the article:

Finally, in 2012, she handed the FBI a file full of information on the women she'd spoken too and they raided Moore at the Sacramento, California house he shared with his parents.

Pervy little freak was livin' in mommy's basement! ROFL!!!!

Well if idiots didn’t take neekid pitchers of themselves and them send them around the internet, this wouldn’t be a problem.

Evidently she didnt send those pics of herself to others. She sent them to herself only so that she could save them on her computer. But her computer was hacked and the photos were stolen.

100 topless selfies

100 topless selfies!? This is obsessive, narcissistic, self exploitive, and incredibly shallow. What are these women thinking? My guess is, "not much".

I’m stumped. It seems so unavoidable, doesn’t it? I think a huge government research grant to a university sociology department could figure out a solution for us.

. She sent them to herself only so that she could save them on her computer.

The problem I have isn't with her sending them. It's the mental state of someone who would take nude pictures of themselves in the first place. I gotta say that is a seriously trashy thing to do, and my sympathy for the dumb ass goes to approximately zero when such pictures (in electronic form of course) get around.

Further, I'm not completely convinced the girl didn't orchestrate the whole thing for publicity.

Thats a definite possibility, but a guy is going to jail over this whole thing (plea deal). Wouldnt his defense attorney brought this up? If this was a publicity stunt by the girl, wouldnt that have been revealed by the investigators or the lawyers?

Wouldnt his defense attorney brought this up

Only if he

  1. Knew it and
  2. could prove it
Since it appears that the mother got a book deal and the daughter got a lot of publicity and the tattooed freak got jail time, I'd say that the two women were seriously smarter than he was if it were a setup. I have no sympathy for any of them.

Actually, she did ask for it. She took the pictures. What was she hoping to accomplish by that act?
