Most carry an enormous chip on their shoulders and take offense at the slightest thing.

Exactly...................

I grew up with some kids who lost their fathers in the war and they (and their widowed mothers) had an entirely different take on their one parent situation than do the hordes of fatherless black kids today.

Today most of the blacks who were raised without benefit of a father can’t drop their defensive posture long enough to take an unbiased look at what they might have missed out on.

Instead of holding single black mothers up as icons society needs a return to sanity.

Perhaps a return to shaming them into keeping their legs closed is what is needed.

The one thing that makes the irresponsible, animalistic black culture of today possible is federal government welfare money.

Young black men who work to provide for a family and spend their time raising their own children spend less time gang banging, stealing, looting and burning.

FReepers can be really cold. This is a very good article; the decisions of a horny young man and a desperate young girl can hurt for generations. The moral of the story is, don’t have unprotected sex until you are married. Then stay married.

Just bearing infants helter skelter hurts everyone.

For decades we have been told a lie, e.g. that fathers are not necessary to raise a child. Now we are seeing entire generations damaged because a strong father figure is not in their lives.

It is interesting to read the difference between the daughter who's father died and the ones who's fathers were walk away joes.

One is sad but has a memory of being loved and a continuing love of her father.

The others are just sad and angry.

I have occasionally heard guys say that only the mother is important in the first few years and that dads should only be involved later. Yet here is a young lady who only had her father for the first five years of her life and yet because he was involved with her it has influenced her life for the better.

A whole generation perfectly set up to be fodder for the liberal machine.

“If I were given the opportunity to spend a day with someone in my past, it would be my father who passed away when I was five years old. If my father were here I would be so happy because I was the only daughter and he spoiled me and treated me like a princess. When he passed I went to school and all I was doing is crying. After a week I got kicked out of school because every time I went to school I wasn’t doing my work; all I was thinking about was my father. I miss him so much. I wish he was around to tell me good advice in this world. I make my own decisions and sometimes they are wrong. If my father were here I wouldn’t be working two jobs and going to school at the same time. I always needed a father to talk to me when it comes to boyfriends and men and how I should be treated. “

This comment is heartbreaking. I’m wondering just how many people around me have stories like this one. I’m thankful for having two great parents who raised me and stayed together. Not everyone has that.

How many don’t have fathers because their mother divorced their father and got the Court to block his access to them in order to spite him?

More common than people realize.

There are two reasons in your headline to avoid reading your piece.

For those who complain about absent fathers, watch what your mother does instead of what she says or dramatizes. You’ll eventually figure it out.
