In its 2008 decision in District of Columbia v. Heller, the U.S. Supreme Court not only struck down Washington, D.C.'s handgun ban, it also struck down D.C.'s requirement that all firearms kept at home be "unloaded and dissembled or bound by a trigger lock or similar device." According to the majority opinion of Justice Antonin Scalia, the individual right secured by the Second Amendment voids such requirements because it protects the right of the people to keep a "lawful firearm in the home operable for the purpose of immediate self-defense."

Tards are shameless.
They never accept any judgement that goes against them. They ignore it, chip away at it, legislate around it, pretend it never happened, claim it doesn’t apply to them, argue ad nausea, refuse to enforce it, look for a different judge, make ridiculous moral claims, try to use foreign courts to reverse it, work for UN treaties to void it.
I’m of two minds as to whether we must act like them in the culture war, or whether we lose too much of what makes us great by doing so.
ditto
They are using the right principle in the wrong way.
If the ruling is UNJUST, then yes, the co-equal branches are not only able to, but duty bound to ignore it, go around it, supplant it... etc.
An unjust ruling, the same as an unjust law is not a law at all.
Had we done this with Roe in 1973 we would not be in this state today. That we allowed LIFE itself to be regulated by injustice is WHY we are allowing all the lessor rights to be so infringed.
I don’t pay attention to their gun laws. Just like these scumbag politicians don’t follow any laws.
What if I am in danger outside of my home?
Works great until it doesn't. Like when you get pulled over for a minor or imaginary traffic regulation. If you are armed somewhere like New Jersey or New York that can mean a lot mandatory sentence in the Grey Bar Hotel.
What you are asking, really, is for disarmists to be consistent, logical, and to tell the truth.
They are not consistent, or logical, and they have no qualms about lying. This is consistent with their worldview, which is that they know what is best, and they should be able to force everyone else to do what they say.
They are mostly impervious to logic or argument, because the above worldview defines who they are and what they want.
good on should be good one
