Johnson Comments on Immigration Bill Vote
Senator Ron Johnson ^ | June 27, 2013

Posted on 05/14/2015 3:59:43 PM PDT by ObamahatesPACoal

Senator Ron Johnson (WI) released the following statement regarding his vote on S. 744, the Immigration Reform Bill:

"America is a compassionate society, and no one wants to separate families by deporting moms and dads or husbands and wives. As a result, I support immigration reform and a path to legal status for people whose only crime was to enter the country illegally when they came here to work. I also recognize that our current immigration laws are not working – not for American workers, not for employers, and not for immigrants who want to come to America and play by the rules.

I see Ayotte, Johnson and Kirk losing in 2016.

Only conservative Chuck Grassley will win in a purple state.

Wisconsin: you can do better than someone advocating openly that people disobey the law that this idiot promised in an oath to protect.

The same statement could have come from Feingold’s office

Will Feingold ever be the chairman of Homeland Security committee?

'America is a compassionate society, and no one wants to separate families by deporting moms and dads or husbands and wives'

Everyday, here in America we separate parents from their kids because they commit crimes in our society. Why are illegals above such actions? There is no sympathy for inner city youths or any other child who suffers those fates. Illegals always get a pass.

” I also recognize that our current immigration laws are not working”

They aren’t working because they aren’t being enforced, dipshit!

Feingold’s plan for 100 years of Democratic Party rule is pretty weak compared to Ron Johnson’s.

Hey, Johnson, how about a little “compassion” for American workers that you seem to want to displace?

Johnson owns a manufacturing concern in Wisconsin and probably follows the Chamber of Commerce spiel to the letter. I’ve heard him talk about free trade and trade agreements in general and he is all for it. Thinks more trade agreements will open up markets for his plastics concern.

and not for immigrants who want to come to America and play by the rules.

He's got the cart before the horse. Would be immigrants should play by the rules, and then come to American as legal immigrants.'

I think there is a great chance GOPe’ers Johnson and Kirk both can be sent packing from the Senate!

Tammy Duckworth and Russ Feingold should run strong campaigns, and they will have help with 2016 being a presidential election year.

Ironically, Johnson’s and Kirk’s only chance is if Ted is the nominee, because Ted is the only candidate who will motivate enough disaffected conservatives to pull them over the finish line.

A small enough price to pay, I guess, for a President Cruz.
